12/7 Fundamental Thoughts-Sermons

HERE IS NO OTHER NAME LIKE HIS

Isaiah 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Luke 2:11  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

CONCLUSION:  As we look at all that we have before us.

Isaiah 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

We note the first thing said “For unto us a child is born.  This birth is a birth that for our Salvation is required.   Otherwise we will have no blood given for our sins.
God has given “unto us a son is given” without what God has given where would we be, all of us heading straight to hell, with no way out.  No redemption
Only through the Birth of this God/Man, this baby Jesus, God’s only begotten Son, He was born so He could hang on that cross for our sins.  Not only die for our sins but also claim victory over death and Satan, with His resurrection.
As we approach this CHRISTmas Season, let us remember what God has done for each of us, through this Virgin birth of His Only Begotten Son, our Saviour Jesus the Christ.
The amazing part is that He did it all for a people as good as filthy rags, people not concerned about what He had done in the past, nor were they concerned about what was happeneing.
He did it all for the “possibility” that we would accept His Son Jesus.
              Have you accepted Him?
